Take off from Prestwick Airport, over the Firth of Clyde, towards the Holy Isle then a right over Brodick towards Goat Fell. Another right swing and over to the other side of the island, then finally down to Ailsa Craig. Oh, and a perfect landing at the end ;)Flight Simulator X with Acceleration, Ultimate Terrain X Europe, FS Global 2008, Active Sky X, X Graphics, TrackIR. Settings are fairly high. Please, no sad comments on my flying skill (or lack thereof). It's just a bit of fun for those interested in seeing Arran on FSX.

ground textures already take a while to load (may be a bug with my 8800gtx drivers) but i have plenty of hd space. i may try this if it's not to expensive heh.

Na, makes little if any difference. Ultimate Terrain adds urban roads, smaller rivers and canals, and more accurately defines exactly where the built-up areas are, etc. It uses the normal FSX autogen to do this. FS Global 2008 has more accurate height data, making it more realistic. The only downside really is that it takes longer to load and they eat up a lot of hard disk space.

do these addons more graphics intensive? i mean like with stock fsx i have my settings just right, if i add these will i have to turn down some settings to accommodate the new eyecandy?

AMD Dual Core 4600+ (2.4GHz), 2GB RAM, nVidia 8800GT, XP Pro. Thanks for the comment, but bear in mind that I have enhanced the original FSX with the Ultimate Terrain X Europe and FS Global 2008 packs. FSX looks good without these, but the add-ons give much better accuracy, giving a more realistic feel to everything. Unfortunately, with FSX, you can end up spending much more on add-ons than you did on the product itself. Good luck!

It's "Flight Simulator X" (FSX for short) from Microsoft. I have various add-ons, as described in the video description.
