Please read up on it, there was no gas leak, the fire was caused by a welding spark that spread to the storage area of ammonium perchlorate, which is a rocket fuel. It was the company's lawyers who tried to deflect the real cause of the blasts because they only had a million dollars in insurance.

What's amazing is that the pipe that fueled the blaze was twenty inches in diameter before the explosion. Afterward, it was crumpled into the size of a fist. |
