im not trying to be a jerk or an ass by this comment but :remember it took 7 bullets that are about an inch in length before the sword broke.. 7 BULLETS!! -also, these sword were graded on how well they can slice through the human body.

@Werty1091: if you mean the sword, traditional nihonto (Japanese blades) are forged from tamahagane steel. This is a fairly heterogenous steel source produced from ore-bearing sands in a traditional smelter called a tatara. To homogenize the carbon content and burn off the impurities, the smith manually arranges fragments of tamahagane into a billet which is then folded several times (7-15). Much labor and *great* skill is required, just to purify a relatively poor steel source. |
