yeah, but owen has a massive superstar ego and the need to play constantly because he wants to regain his spot on the england squadthrow in a 100k a week salary and thats waaaaaaay too much to pay for someone who will essentially serve as a backup for torresunless you want to sell keane at a huge loss and not give him time to work up a strike partnership with torres (which would be a massive mistake)

you seem to be forgetting that owen was the top scorer for liverpool every season he was with us so back in his day he was brilliant. Nowadays while he is still reasonably young hes lost his flair and will never find the form he had while at liverpool. As for robbie keane i think he was a waste of money. Put kuyt up front and be on your way in my opinion. Thats wat rafa should have done before signing keane. Torres and kuyt up front would have been a good partnership.

Ngog is playing well for Liverpool when hes on and hes only nineteen. Hes got a future ahead of him.

Owen left us, yeah when we were finishing 5th more often than not but the thing is i and many other liverpool fans i knew were starting to think Owen was getting abit dodgy and i didnt blame him for moving. Then he flopped. Mcmanaman left a few years before that and he was average at Madrid and brilliant for us. Owen is NOT playing well this season. Hes scored 7 in 16 hes been injured so much. Heskey has not scored so much, in fact Keane is scoring more but hes playing well and assissting Zaki

Also are you not bored of Keanes mis hits in front of goal ? He seems to have an uncanny knack of of arriving late. Michael Owen, while not having Keanes flair is lethal in those front of goal positions and thats the kind of finishing which made Van Nistelrooy so important for Manure. Think about it.
